The verdict

Michelin trained Chef Jacopo Martelossi, has teamed up with Gina di Brita from Numero Uno Specialty Coffee Roasters to bring modern regional Italian fare to both breakfast and lunch with new café; Nu 56. Their ethos is to showcase ethically sourced, artfully roasted beans, served with modern dishes at a reasonable price.

For breakfast, expect dishes like black truffle scrambled eggs (with sautéed mushrooms and wilted baby spinach) and breakfast bruschetta (of smashed avocado with tomato and sheep’s feta). For lunch, dishes are divided into three categories: snacks, small plates and large plates, so you can tailor your feast to your appetite. Their love of coffee also translates into espresso martinis, which are thoughtfully crafted with Single Origin beans and a whole lotta love.
