The verdict
Nudefish are right back at it again, opening their second poké store in as many months. Oh yeah, they’re bringing their poké bowls to the MLC Centre so you’ll never have a sad desk lunch again. While you’re busy dreaming of sashimi bars in Japan or poké shacks on a beach in Hawaii, these guys are the next best thing (promise).
Just in time for Sydney's summer months, creators Tom Walton and James Nathan are all about 'nude' food, which basically means they’re Bringing the same boat-to-bowl ethos from their original Greenwood Plaza location. The menu continues to be fresh AF, and when we say fresh, we mean really fresh. Everything is made in-house, from their sauces and dressings all the way to their furikake. Even the fish is sourced from sustainable locations across Australia and New Zealand.
While the menu is short and sweet, there are more than enough options. There are the classic poké bowls, which are jam packed with things like salmon sashimi, edamame, sesame seeds and nori, or the not-so-classic vegan option. This bad boy is all about the miso eggplant and needless to say, we dig it. Oh and if sashimi just isn’t your things, they’ll also blowtorch your fish on request—they call it 'aburi', we just call it delicious.
