Good things come in threes and Okay Coffee is a complete trifecta of beauty. This coffee house comes as part cafe, part bike shed, and part barber and while this may sound very “Melbourne”, the twist is that you’ll actually find this weekend beauty up on the Northern Beaches here in Sydney.
The coffee crew here open at the crack of sparrow every weekday (that’s 6.30am for you late risers) and 7am on the weekends, which means it’s the perfect place to sink a cold brew or flat white post morning walk, morning cycle, or morning swim. The space sports a mini warehouse-style vibe with wall plants, a front coffee bar section with bar stools, a bangin’ record player spinning vinyl all day long, and concrete chair fixings out front to make you feel like you’re hanging out in a side street with all the relaxed feels.
As for what Okay Coffee is really about, it’s a brilliant collab between Aaron & Bo., a roaster and brewer who have come together with a winning concept of sourcing the best green beans around with maximum commitment to origin and traceability so you can sip your poison in peace.
When you’re ready for some feasting, the jaffle game here is the real standout. Your first port of call has to be the bolognese jaffle topped with flakes of parmesan cheese and after that, you’ll want to treat your tastebuds to the sweet corn jaffle. However, if the health kick is for you, look no further than the muesli bowl featuring a triple threat of berries.
In need of a trim? Benicky & Sons has you covered for all your barbering needs (you’ll just need to clock-in an appointment beforehand), and further inside, the Sticky Bottle workshop out the back is servicing your wheels with some tender loving care and cycling gear.
