One Playground: Urban Oasis

Boutique Sydney fitness and wellness brand One Playground has added another venue to its collection: Urban Oasis is a Surry Hills wellness centre near existing locations including The Bunker and the One Playground gym on Elizabeth Street.

Relaxation and rejuvenation services and over 150 classes are on offer in the heritage building, once a textile manufacturing warehouse. The elevated design of the space includes polished concrete floors, exposed timber beams and original brickwork, contrasted against bespoke metal and architectural lighting elements.

Services in the 750-square-metre Urban Oasis include traditional and infrared saunas (with all access included in memberships), a 20-bed Reformer Pilates studio, an infrared-heated Pilates and yoga studio, and a semi-private Reformer studio.

In the studio spaces, One Playground is offering new class types including breathwork, sound healing, meditation, dynamic mobility, hot yoga and hot Pilates, while the recovery suite also offers a cold dip shower and mineral shower, and bathrooms are stocked with luxe amenities and Dyson tools.

"This expansion represents our commitment to enhancing community wellness by providing a space where individuals can nurture their mind, body and spirit," said Claudia Howard, One Playground’s head of wellness. 

One Playground members have access to all of their locations (currently including Surry Hills, Marrickville, Newtown and Merrylands) and over 750 weekly classes, with a massive flagship gym opening in Haymarket soon.
