The Verdict

For the times you want to hit up some speakeasy vibes, curated cocktails, natural wine and bar snacks that are actually delish, we think you should definitely be hitting up PG’s in Newtown.

As for the massive sell on this one, yes, this little slice of foodie heaven is hidden behind a bookcase on King Street and you’re going to want to bring the clan for a number of reasons. The interior is decked out with leather couches, a few NSFW neon installations (and we friggin’ love them), curtains and candles so it’s got those cosy vibes to a tee.

The nosh is all about fried chicken wings (the kind you won’t want to share), cheeseburger jaffles, fried pickles, paté and tasty platters of cured meats while the tipple selection is honestly, something else. You’ll find that organic and natural wine is a massive thing here plus a number of remixes all around the cocktail staples you live for.
