The verdict

When Mike Eggert, Jemma Whiteman and Berri Eggert took over the former Buzo site on Jersey Road in Woollahra, they had a big reputation to live up to – Buzo was, after all, something of a Sydney dining institution, and Woollahra doesn't have a huge amount great restaurants. But then Pinbone opened we all realised what we'd been missing: food with personality. Try a chocolate crackle with chicken liver parfait as a starter, or potato skin with melted cheese, and follow it with broccoli steak with a side of anchovy sauce. The scene is dark, friendly and loud – you're in for a fun night here.
