Led by Longstanding Executive Chef Daniel Simpson, Q dining has all bases covered with a menu covering all of the important daily meals; breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. With floor to ceiling windows, unassuming metal frames and a chic minimalist décor, Q dining makes the most of their idyllic views over Sydney Harbour.
Simpson is in it for the long haul and has created a loyal team in the kitchen, so you know that you are guaranteed a fine dining experience on each visit. Simpson has created a menu paying homage to Australia’s indigenous ingredients, taking advantage of artisan suppliers and producers from around New South Wales. Standouts include Milly hill lamb cutlet with crisp shank, braised cos and anchovy brandade, Hiramasa kingfish with green pea and lemon crème fraiche as well as a selection of locally sourced charcuterie that will ensure you leave with no room to spare.
Did you think we would forget about the wine? No way! Because once you reach the expertly curated wine list, your afternoon is sure to take a special turn towards excellent. We recommend you take a moment to truly soak up the iconic wine makers that fill the menu before making your all-important decision. Our picks are the Gianconda Chardonnay, which hails from Beechworth in Victoria or the George Duboeuf Fleurie, a robust and fruity red from the Beaujolais region in France. For a nod to the classics, you can’t go wrong with a 1997 pinot from Bollinger.
Q dining is the kind of restaurant you’ll finish up at and then start planning your next visit. And we absolutely support that, because their menu deserves your full attention and a double take.
