Room Two By Two Slices Sandwich Bar

Two Slices Sandwich Bar has carried their iconic blue and maroon branding and stacked schiacciata sandwiches across borders, with Room Two taking up residency on Bondi Road. If you haven't yet tried the Perth staple, you're in for a treat.

While there's certainly no shortage of sandwich dealers in Bondi and surrounds, it's the dough here that really sets them apart. It's the hybrid baby of two staples—foccacia and ciabatta—and you should expect to find nothing but the best of both worlds. A pillowy centre and crunchy crust is stuffed to the brim with housemade spreads, classic charcuterie, and only the best local produce.

The format here sticks closely to idea of a "bar"—the drinks offering is just as much of a priority, and there's no speciality mix left untouched. Syrups are also made in house, so you'll find plenty of the maple sea salt, caramel banana brown sugar and sour plums of the world—whipped up into a curated list of coffee, matcha and tea, and topped with an equally diverse range of cold foam.

We'd be going for Mr Pistachio: mortadella, pistachio cream, straciatella, rocket and a healthy sprinkling of fresh pistachios—best complemented by a pistachio cream iced matcha or latte. If you're a sweet tooth, you can pick up one of their moreish dessert sandwiches to round out the meal.

The location is also a win—you aren't far from Bondi's main promenade, so it's ideal for a post swim/run/shopping carb load.
