The Verdict

Okay Sydney—let’s face it. Whether we like to admit it or not, we can be a bit snobby when it comes to our coffee, our wine, and yes even our booze. But what about sake (we know it’s booze, but really, it’s a whooooole thing on its own)? 

Opening in Stanmore, Sakeshop is Sydney’s very first store dedicated to Sake, with over 100 different kinds of sake to choose from. If you’re not sure what Sake even is, we got you—it’s Japanese rice wine and you definitely want and need it in your life. Sakeshop are hosting a bunch of tastings and workshops that’ll have you sounding like a sake expert in no time (well, as long as the workshop is—you get it). 

Keep an eye out for their pop up Izakaya later this year, where you’ll be plied with flights of sake and all kinds of izakaya goodness. If there’s anything we love more than wine, it’s food.
