The Verdict

Salaryman’s ramen is jam-packed full of flavour, using the pork loin and bones to create one tasty tasty broth. Fitting in perfectly with its Surry Hills setting, this is not like your typical ramen joint. The outfit is raw and grungy, with New York style murals on the walls and melted plastics running into the floor.

That same edge features on the menu as well with executive chef, Stephen Seckold, making Japanese cuisine contemporary. Beyond the bowl the high-impact dishes like the stuffed chicken wings and left of field cocktails make this one unique dining experience. And, if you're feeling really aventurous, why not head here on a weekend for brunch? That's right, this Japanese inspired grill is now offering a relaxed Sunday brunch menu, so you can ditch the standard bacon and eggs for Japanese pastries, DIY baos and our favourite part? Breakfast martinis! Or, if you're looking to kickstart your day, the bloody geisha with chilli infused vodka ought to do the trick.
