The Verdict

This bad boy has taken up the ol’ heritage listed Commonwealth Bank building on Ocean Grove and yes, the Italian Riviera vibes are real. The interior of this one is all down to the legends at Guru Projects and these guys have nailed times reminiscent of all the Mediterranean shenanigans. Say hello to big basket lights, exposed brick, fishing nets and white walls.

Here, you’ll find big open windows, aperitivo culture at its best and some of the best spritz around. You’ll also find a tiramisu martini made with vodka, Frangelico, Mr Black coffee liqueur, espresso and vanilla sugar so yeah, that’s your summer refreshment totally taken care of.

The iconic homestyle cooking is definitely still a thing here as is the seasonally-based menu which will mean the classic Tagliolini Al Granchio will be up for grabs, made with blue swimmer crab, zucchini and chilli. You’ll also be able to dabble on all things pizza, pasta, antipasti, dessert and cocktail-related.

This Cronulla staple has a menu appropriate pretty much for anything you’re getting up to so whether you’re keen to graze at the bar with an antipasti board and spritz, dine in with the fam or order-up from the deli and feast with your mates, you’re all sorted for summer.
