The flagship outpost of Salt Meats Cheese has undergone a huge makeover and on August 1st, the site will launch as a two-for-the-price-of-one concept venue with The Chef’s Table Restaurant and Patisserie. The Chef’s Table Restaurant will run every Thursday through Sunday and will leave no barriers between diners and chefs. The menu will comprise of 10 dishes, changing weekly depending on the chef’s choices and seasonal produce. The on site patisserie and bakery will be open throughout the working week and will be headed up by Pastry Chef Laurence Pagano (formerly of Zumbo, Mercato and Cucina). You can expect fresh breads, decadent cakes and pastries daily, which until now, have been sourced from local suppliers.
Cooking classes are definitely still happening at Fountain Street and will be running every week night as well as on the weekends. The old favourites will still be on offer, like the pasta and ravioli, pizza and mozzarella master classes.
