Sense Of Self Sydney
Sense Of Self will open its long-awaited Sydney bathhouse in September 2026, bringing the communal bathing philosophy and device-free policy of its original Melbourne location to a former industrial warehouse in Surry Hills.
Spanning 1200 square metres across two floors, it will be Sydney’s most spacious indoor bathhouse. The centrepiece is set to be the largest sauna in the Southern Hemisphere, joined by two hot mineral pools, an expansive hammam steam room and an immersive walk-through cold plunge.
There’ll also be dedicated sensory and relaxation spaces, massage treatment rooms and a bespoke retail offering, alongside Sense Of Self’s popular Scrub Station. The optional experience lets guests select their own products and complete a self-led body ritual in the steam of the hammam.
As in Melbourne, the entire bathhouse will be device-free, with regular Quiet Mornings offering an even calmer bathing experience.
Award-winning architecture practice RITZ&GHOUGASSIAN is behind the design, pairing chrome, brick, shadow and rock throughout a restrained space intended to reveal itself gradually as guests move between bathing, treatment and relaxation areas.
Bookings for Sense Of Self Sydney will open shortly, with guests able to join the waitlist ahead of its September arrival.
