Smack bang in the centre of Taylor Square (on the border of Surry Hills and Darlinghurst, duh), you’ll find your fave new go-to: Sir Allen Taylor.

From the crew behind Tuxedo and Kansas City Shuffle, this super convenient space transforms from a trendy café by day to a boutique cocktail bar by night, and it’s safe to say it’s where you’re going to want to hang 24/7.

Head there in the morning and you’ll find plenty of easy eats (think smashed avo, bacon and egg rolls and roasted superfood granola) as well as drool-worthy croquettes and tasty AF crepes for when you’re #cleaneating (or at least trying to). With a dedicated coffee kiosk serving god damn delicious coffee, cold drip and speciality lattes, such as Matcha, turmeric and red velvet, you’re never going to want to leave.

If you’re here on a hangover, we strongly suggest you get around their gangsta eats and take down the southern fried chicken burger with jalapeno aioli or smoked beef brisket and waffle with chill butter and poached eggs. These OTT dishes are worth every damn calorie and if you’re really that hungover, you’ll order two.

Come dark (or 12pm, we don’t judge), you neeeeeeed to hit the cocktails. While we’re more than satisfied with their entire list of impressive espresso martinis (they’re the guys from Tuxedo after all), it’s the salted caramel espresso martini that keeps us coming back. Whatever your poison, you’re in good hands.

When you hear your belly grumbling, there’s a whole selection of small dishes (we’re talking pulled beef sliders, beef brisket tacos and cheese platters) that are perfect for sharing so bring your whole squad and try one of everything.

Whether you’re popping by to collect your cup of liquid gold on the way to work or grabbing cocktails with the girls, you’d be a fool not to make Sir Allen Taylor your go-to.
