The Verdict

From the legend that brought Chippendale its gin mecca known as Gin Lane, Grant Collins’ next venture includes taking over the Olio Terrace and transforming it into a rooftop dedicated to all things spritz.

You’ll now find a sling of nostalgic blue and white chairs, olive detailing and vine plants taking over the al fresco dining atop what used to be known as Olio. This time around, you’re in for a carefully devised menu made-up of 22 handcrafted cocktails which obviously include all the classics plus additionals like “The Flower Power Sour” which is served in an actual pot plus the “Toasted Coconut Pina Colada” slushie which is well worth the throwback.

Sitting on the food front, the bites menu includes gems like arancini stuffed with pecorino cheese and saffron and a delectable Italian cheese board. And to really win the people over, the team here throw an “All Night Happy Hour” every Monday from 5pm and Tuesday — Saturday from 4pm until 7pm. On top of this, expect all the 1950s and 1960s-inspired jazz and mid-Balearic beats as the soundtrack to your new late-night spritz joint.
