Inspired by iconic films like the Grand Budapest Hotel, this artsy cocktail bar is the newest recruit to Darlinghurst’s already booming bar scene. From the front door to the interior the décor here is all blush pink walls and low-light chandeliers, playing on the Wes Anderson cinema theme that is continued throughout the venue. There’s even a giant fox mural on the courtyard wall, in homage to Fantastic Mr Fox.
The cocktail menu includes all the classics, with a few cheeky twists thrown in. There’s the 1951 Martini, which adds Cointreau to the classic martini mix, or champagne-based cocktails like the French 75. You can even order your own off-the-menu cocktail if you’re feeling a bit extra, but whatever you do, order a charcuterie board to nibble on as you sip your way through the cocktail menu.
