The Verdict
The culinary gurus from one of Sydney's best Thai restaurants, Longrain, have struck gold with their newly opened restaurant, Subcontinental. Taking up residence in the space previously housing Shortgrain and Bunker Bar, the menu will offer up tasty morsels from India, Nepal and Sri Lanka, hence the all encompassing name, Subcontinental. But, as is typical of head chef Victor Chung’s style, the menu will see traditional dishes given a lighter, healthier edge.
Fans of Shortgrain can also rest easy as it’s set to re-open soon at another location.
