Summer Salt is a sparkling contemporary Italian restaurant in Cronulla with floor-to-ceiling ocean views overlooking the sunny shores of Elouera Beach.

Splashes of cerulean, sapphire and cobalt blues line the stunning space, from the dining chairs and rounded tables to the inviting plush couches, turquoise tiling and beyond, following a refresh of the venue’s aesthetic after 19 years of love.

The coastal menu celebrates a variety of locally caught Australian seafood and produce with elevated dishes like a WA octopus chargrilled over coal served with a side of kipfler potatoes and spicy sobrassada salami, alongside mains such as line-caught whole baby snapper, a 300g MBS 5+ sirloin steak, and a to-die-for sepia casarecce pasta course with QLD spanner crab and sea urchin cooked in a luxurious, buttery sauce.

For dessert, a fluffy limoncello tiramisu is the star of the show with dreamy layers of yuzu-limoncello curd and mascarpone cream stuffed between lady fingers. Plus, a roving dessert trolley serves up treats like the Seaside Mess with a peach schnapps drizzle cake, paired with Biscoff sand, vanilla gelato and customisable toppings, creating a playful dining experience for guests.

Head to the bar for a pre or post-dinner sip with signature cocktails like the citrusy Sunnyboy; made with Passoa, yuzu sake, passionfruit and a dash of lemon; or the Aphrodite; a blend of Eristoff vodka, watermelon, coconut water, sugar and citrus. Or pick a glass of vino from the extensive wine list featuring over 30 by-the-glass local and international options.

Summer Salt should definitely be on your restaurants-to-visit list, along with these best restaurants in Cronulla. For more details about the newest openings in the Shire, sign up for our newsletter.
