The Verdict

If soaking your soul in a hot stone bath and exploring hidden waterfalls is high on your getaway agenda, you’ll want to make your way to The Dairy near Fernleigh in Northern NSW.

The Dairy pays homage to its old farming roots having been an actual dairy farm back in the day. The converted space now oozes dreamy rustic vibes surrounded by verdant rolling hills and hinterland. The property is predominantly a glorious mashup of natural materials with corrugated iron palisades in the bathroom, timber slab furnishings, exposed stone walls and moody corners for sinks, mirrors, and other homey bric-a-brac.

Sporting an open plan design, The Dairy keeps floor to ceiling windows, bi-fold doors that open out onto an open-air deck, a stone fireplace, and—the magnum opus—a giant L-shaped stone bath that overlooks the unkept wilds.

There are two bedrooms onsite so you’ll be able to sleep up to four people here plus, the original old dairy has been stocked with an outdoor entertaining area and BBQ for your private use.

If you’re actually able to tear yourself away from The Dairy’s undeniable beauty, you’ll also be privy to exploring the majestic Killen Falls, which are just a five-minute walk away. Lennox Head and Broken Head Beach are also close by if you’re keen to start your morning by watching the sunrise.

Book your stay at The Dairy right here.
