If you’re a fan of sweet (and downright strange) desserts, Dessert Kitchen is about to become your go-to. We mean it when we say they have everything your sweet tooth could possible want. There are classic parfaits filled with cocoa crisps, crushed Oreo and chocolate pearls, to pistachio crust and corn flakes; and sundaes that are a little more out there. Exhibit A is the dancing queen, with a base of milk pudding layered with mini rice balls and red beans, topped with green tea ice cream.
The real winner here though is the ice stream ramen—yep, you read that right. It’s just like the salty noodle soup we all love, but dessert-ified. Instead of actual noodles, you get kanten, aka jelly noodles and these bad boys are piled high on top of mixed fruit, crushed ice, rice balls and a syrupy, milky soup base.
They also serve things like waffles and more traditional Asian desserts, like mango pudding, and mochi sago (a Japanese rice cake with tapioca pearls).
And if the desserts don’t already have you sold, then slushies absolutely will. With flavours like mango yakult (yep, that tiny milk drink from our youth), rockmelon, peach calpis (Japanese soda) and blueberry, you might need to make multiple visits.
