The Gantry is not just another Sydney hotel bar and restaurant; it’s a damn delicious one. Located within the super luxe Pier One Hotel, this spot offers al fresco dining with views across Walsh Bay and Sydney Harbour.
Head Chef Joel Bickford (Ex-Biota Dining) has created a menu that focusses on freshly foraged produce which may sound simple on paper but will blow your mind when it hits your table (and your tastebuds). Our tip? Head outside to their new bar, The Gantry Garden and order the lunch with free-flowing Perrier-Jouët champagne. Oh, did we not mention this is Sydney's first bottomless champagne bar? Because it is.
You'll be lunching on seasonal share plates of oysters with finger lime and mignonette, Skull Island prawns with a herby chimichurri, creamy avocado on a tortilla or for something seriously decadent, the mushroom risotto with a big dollop of creme fraiche, Reggiano and herbs from the garden (located right there in the restaurant).
The Gantry Garden is a laid-back oasis or sorts overlooking the harbour that's just screaming for you to book it out for you and your crew this weekend.
