The Verdict
Sitting on the corner of a busy Alexandria intersection, inside a pale pink heritage building lies the Grumpy Barista. Yep, this joint has moved and per usual, it’ll brighten up (pretty much) everyone’s Instagram feeds with their marble tables, indoor greenery and like we said, pink walls. It’s basically everything you already love from Grumpy Barista, but better.
Their menu is a brunch-goers dream, filled with fresh pastries, brekky rolls and their iconic fig brioche French toast. Towering high, three slices of sweet brioche bread is topped with fairy floss, fresh berries, crunchy nuts, flowers and of course, figs. This one is defs something to save for your cheat day. Or you know, not.
The Grumpy Barista is using Toby’s Estate beans that go perfectly with everything from the syringe doughnuts (you rea right) to their Spanish-style eggs. This place my very easily become your new reg, and that’s totally fine with us.
