As part of its 50th anniversary program, Sydney Opera House is hosting a nostalgic fish and chips pop-up for four weeks this summer.
Running between Wednesday 4 January and Friday 3 February, The Harbour pays homage to the popular seafood restaurant that called the site home through the '80s and '90s, serving sustainably sourced seafood dishes, seafood platters, golden fried fish, grilled prawns, crunchy chips and the requisite potato scallops to dine in with breathtaking views, or take away for a picnic in the gardens.
The retro setting is a nod to the original venue with checkered tablecloths, picnic tables and historical projections of the original restaurant.
The Harbour pop-up will operate from midday Tuesday-Saturday (closed 26 January)—bookings are highly recommended, but you can try your luck walking in.
