The verdict
Step right up Sydney, an eerie and exotic establishment has rolled into town and bears a triple threat of spectacular bars all under the one roof. The Oxford Circus is Sydney’s hottest night spot, brought to you from the crew that created Low302, the new institution will add some antique decadence to the Oxford Street strip.
Your first port of call is The Oxford Underground Bar, a dark, mysterious and dimly lit cavern. Lounge in intimate booths or sidle up at the mahogany bar. Dark and gloriously dank, enjoy tap beers and cocktails sourced from the Middle East to Morocco.
Ascend to level one and you’ll find The Cooch, mysterious and ghost-like in all its glory. Housing subtle lighting and low-key ambience, it’s the perfect set up to chat, drink cocktails and beers and dance until the morning. Live performances are make an appearance as do the occasional contortionist shows.
Finally, work your way up to the Management Bar; a deluxe penthouse bar, the pinnacle of this exotic establishment. Sip on fine champagnes all the way from France or taste delectable vodkas. The Circus crew will wheel trolleys of liquid refreshments straight to you at your call and sitting by the plush bar you can soak-up the view.
With velvet draped curtains and dimly lit saloons, this nightclub hideaway brings foreign feels and an unparalleled atmosphere from 7pm until late.

Bar Demo
Bar Demo is a late-night vinyl bar in Newtown, designed for lovers of a well-crafted drink without the fuss. Owners Claudia Morgan and Olly Churcher (Ex-Double Deuce Lounge) are bartenders by trade, so there’s faith to be had in their curated 60-bottle wine list and seasonally crafted cocktails. The venue itself has grown from their joint experiences working and sipping in some of Sydney’s best bars—Morgan says “we wanted somewhere open late where we could buy a bottle without sitting down for a meal, sink some martinis, listen to some interesting music or have a dance”. Bar Demo certainly checks all of the boxes: open 5pm—midnight, Wednesday—Saturday, with no full kitchen but a dedicated menu for snacks, and a soundtrack of full albums played on vinyl, with each night featuring a curated selection of tunes.
