The Verdict
This little café in Alexandria is only using all natural ingredients that are clean, simple and fresh, delivering an incredible taste. The Pommery Café is all about bringing good food to its customers that is sourced in a sustainable and responsible way. Such a lovely thing to hear, isn’t it?
Now, this place serves breakfast and lunch and even though the menu may be small, there are some absolute winners on there that need to be in your belly right now. They’ve got pulled pork and poached eggs with smoked paprika and baked beans (um, yum!), also courgette and haloumi corn fritters. If you’re going to stay for lunch (which we recommend you do), definitely go for the crackling pork belly with apple relish, it always hits the spot!
The Pommery Café also holds monthly cooking classes, so if you really need some help in the kitchen, to the point where toast is your go to meal, you will learn some seriously helpful basic skills that will spice up your cooking life. The ‘Pommy Classics’ are taught by English chefs (if you’re not going for the cooking, just go for the accent), where they’ll teach you how to make a 3-course meal using the Pommery’s signature dishes.
