The verdict
The Riverview Hotel is a pub that cares about their locals. Downstairs they offer good quality pub grub, or more refined offerings you can head up to the dining room upstairs. Their menu is seasonal and changes accordingly, but you can expect dishes such as 12-hour slow braised lamb shoulder with kipfler potatoes, pumpkin and seasonal vegetables to share or a beef and Guinness pie with colcannon and roasted Dutch carrots.
They pride themselves on their wine list and selection of craft beer and since they serve up a generous Sunday roast complete with Yorkshire puddings, Riverview is an ideal spot for a lazy Sunday session.
