The Verdict

The Royal Leichhardt is one of our fave spots in Sydney with a newly restored and grand heritage-style wraparound balcony overlooking Norton Street, boasting some of the best views in the inner west. Situated in the very heart of Leichhardt, this trendy AF pub is the perfect place to seat yourself for an entire day and kick back with a pint (or three) and watch the world go by.

Whether you choose to dine at the Main Bar or prefer to grab a seat upstairs at The Botanical, be warned: you are in for one full on feast. The menu is full of old faves (think chicken schnitzel parmi, steak, fish and chips and beef pie) as well as more modern heartwarmers such burgers, gnocchi and half jerk spiced chicken (yes, really).

Once you've fed your grumbling belly, make your way through the entire cocktail list and stay alllll night. The best part? They have a late night menu on Friday and Saturday with a god damn delicious selection of jaffles. What more could you want?
