The Verdict
Step aside Ikea, there’s a new Scandinavian-inspired star in town and it goes by the name of The Walrus. A quick hop from Town Hall will land you in the bright walls of this trendy AF café dishing up breakfast tacos (yes, they’re a thing) on the daily. Experimenting with contemporary, European flavours (think smoked salmon and quinoa salad paired with grapefruit and asparagus) as well as old-school faves (aka porridge and pasta), there’s something for even the pickiest eater.
If you’re getting your adventurous game on (as you should be), don’t go home without wrapping your lips around on one of their house made sodas—we’re telling you now, the blueberry and lime soda is strangely what your childhood dreams were made of. If daring isn’t your jam, loosen your belt for a buttermilk fried chicken burger with kimchi and chipotle mayonnaise then stuff yourself that little bit more with their epic beer battered fries.
