One of Western Sydney's most iconic pubs is set to reopen this weekend as The Woodstock, following a multi-million dollar facelift by the Solotel Group. The team has done a number on what was previously known as the Carousel Inn, giving it a brand new look—new outdoor spaces, a family friendly bistro, and an events centre.
At the core of the Rooty Hill venue will be community. “We’ve designed The Woodstock to be a true local, somewhere you can bring the kids for dinner on a Tuesday, meet your mates for beers in the Garden Bar on a Saturday over live music, or celebrate a milestone with the whole extended family." says Elliot Solomon, CEO of Solotel Group.
The venue itself is homey and warm, with lime-washed finishes, terracotta tones, and timber throughout the interior. Outdoor areas will wrap around the pub's exterior: a sprawling beer garden designed to be packed with groups and families on sunny afternoons, and a huge playground—complete with climbing walls, a games corner, talking tubes and slides. Meanwhile, their state-of-the-art sports bar is boasting plenty of action on the big screens, with high-top seating and a dedicated lounge.
In terms of food, you should expect all the best bistro bites—for both picky kids and adults who need a good feed. Mediterranean pub classics are the star of the show: woodfired pizzas, chargrilled meats, and large share-style dishes perfect for feeding all sorts of eaters. We'd be going for the classic chicken parmi—it simply cannot be beat. Bonus points are awarded for the $12 kids menu, where all meals come with a complimentary soft drink or juice.
We'd be amiss not to mention their dedicated events space, catering for up to 250 guests and flexible enough to host everything from weddings, to community lunches. It's just what the area has been missing, and the perfect place to settle in for Friday night footy, school holiday catch ups, or a casual beer with your group of friends.
Grab a table online, or take a second to look at their menu.
