Tinello is a little slice of Italy on Glebe Point Road that is perfect for impressing on your next date or for dinner with the in-laws. The menu, in true Italian fine dining style, starts off with cured meats ordered in 35 or 90 grams, as well as other delish small dishes like the burrata, amoretti and currant burnt butter.
For the main course, order the red snapper with sweet corn and risotto, and the braised kid, peas and pappardelle. And of course, where there’s Italian there must be vino—Tinello has a carefully selected wine list that’ll have you spoiled for choice, as well as many the cocktail. Go for the traditional peach Bellini or for something different, opt for the Tinello Sour is a mix of Amaro Montenegro, crème de peche, lemon and Angostura bitters. They also have BYO wine available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to help you get through mid-week, so get on that.
