The verdict

Authentic flavours and top quality Australian meat is king at Traditional Gyradiko, the family run gyros shop in Rosebery. Their vision is to show the rest of the world how tasty and simple Greek food can really be and, if their traditional gyros are anything to go by, we would say it's mission accomplished.

The pork, lamb and chicken are first filleted and marinated in traditional spices and sauces before roasting over a traditional vertical spit. Served on an old-style wholesome pita bread and slathered with homemade tzatziki, the meat is then topped with tomatoes, onions and potatoes, just as all good gyros should be.
