The Verdict

Central Station finally has coffee worth waiting for thanks to the team at Two Skinny Pickles.

This hole-in-the-wall café on Elizabeth Street (directly across from Central) is run by ex-Nomad geniuses and serves up homemade flavoured kombucha on tap (think blood orange and cinnamon, and pineapple and habanero), specialist coffee by five senses (including coffee infused with nitrogen) and healthy smoothies so you can get your 2 and 5 in one hit.

There’s plenty of salads and baked goods on the menu, as well as everyone’s favourite Croque Monsieur, but their lunch time speciality is the Pan Bagnat, made with an Australian twist. Using prawns and cocktail sauce with a sprinkle of puffed wild rice, it’s the sandwich that will keep you coming back.
