URBNSURF is Sydney’s first wave park, and has just revealed Monday 13 May as its long-awaited opening date.

While Sydney’s a city of beach and surf lovers, URBNSURF brings the experience to Western Sydney’s Olympic Park area seven days a week, offering eight kinds of surfing sessions for all skill levels, a surf academy and adjacent attractions like a swimming pool, skate ramp, a health and wellness center and a Rip Curl retail store.

The massive site, by the team behind Australia's first surf park URBNSURF Melbourne, can accommodate up to 1000 visitors a day, with sessions separated by wave height and intensity as generated by the world-class Wavegarden technology that can create 400 waves per hour, up to two metres high.

Beginners can get in on Learn To Surf lessons with expert guidance and waves between half a metre and one metre high, or those getting more skilled can hit a Progressive Turns session to skill up on rolling one-metre waves.

More experienced surfers can hit Advanced sessions for bigger conditions and up to two-metre waves, and Expert sessions are limited to just 12 surfers in the water so you can pick your perfect wave.

If you're not planning on getting on a board, a Spectator Pass for $10 gives access to park amenities including the leisure pool, change rooms and landscaped spaces to relax and take in the surfing spectacle.

As well as all the on-water action, URBNSURF has partnered with Sydney hospitality group Applejack to bring RAFI (a second location for the North Sydney restaurant) and a new casual all-day eatery, Sandy’s to the site.

Bookings for URBNSURF Sydney can now be made online.
