The verdict
Rich, French, and delicious, you will not be disappointed by a visit to Vamps. For 30 years, Vamps French Bistro, in Paddington, has been serving Sydney's Francophiles with a mixture of classic French cuisine along with Australian and Asian-influenced dishes. Located at Five Ways, Paddington, Vamps is housed in a Victorian terrace and run by its original owners, Tony and Veronique.
On the must order list you can't go past: Snails Gratineed in Garlic Sauce; Scallops on the Shell in Mornay Sauce; and Vamps 'Famous' Chicken Liver Pate for starters. For main try the: Wild Rabbit Pie; Slow Roasted Duck with Cherries; Twice Cooked Pork Belly; or the Eye Fillet Steak with Sauce Bernaise
