A place for locals and theatre-goers, Walsh Bay Kitchen is the restaurant to go to just before it’s showtime. In addition to lunch, Walsh Bay Kitchen offers a two or three course pre-theatre dining set that comes with a glass of wine. Dressed to the nines with cosy lounge chairs, an art deco inspired bar and plenty of mood lighting, it’s the perfect counterpart to Sydney’s Arts District.
Featuring modern Australian food with an Asian twist, for Act One we’re thinking the seared scallops with squid ink and finger lime will more than do. Next on the programme? You can’t go wrong with the slow cooked lamb neck or braised mushrooms bibimbap. And just before the curtain falls, indulging in the orange panna cotta will have you begging for an encore.
