The Verdict

There’s a new hotel in town team and it is lush AF. This is the first in Hilton’s Curio Collection to hit Sydney and it’s bagged prime real estate in the CBD. Greenery takes centre stage at West Hotel, with an open-air garden dominating the lobby.

West Hotel boasts 182 guest rooms, all featuring uber sleek furniture and fittings as well as Bluetooth audio systems throughout so you can really make the room your own. The bathrooms are the definition of luxe with clean lines, natural stone and smoked glass screens. The suites are where the real magic happens though, each boasting a large free-standing bathtub. Just picture yourself, robe on and champagne in hand—life can literally not get any better.

The on-site restaurant, Solander Dining, is named after the first fleet botanist Daniel Solander and here, it’s all relaxed, sophisticated vibes and delicious food. The menu is modern Australian, focusing on fresh, seasonal produce and Australian botanicals. This sleek atmosphere continues into Solander Bar, where you can order botanical-inspired cocktails and sit at the terrazzo marble bar under the lush atrium.
