If you love flavour and sharing a spontaneous meal amongst fifteen of your favourite friends, then this eclectic street food diner is right up your alley—with a menu stacked full of dishes to take your tastebuds from China to Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand.
For those that simply cannot decide on one meal, the extensive menu offers a range of dishes, from smaller entrees styles perfect for sharing, to mains sure to satiate every appetite.
Start with the Fijian-style Kingfish, which will mentally whisk you away to a beachside vaycay with coconut cream, heirloom tomatoes and chilli. And to keep the fantasy going, make sure to tuck into the Soft Shell Crab with garlic, chilli, bean sprouts, and Sichuan pepper and finish with some delectable Wagyu Beef Dumplings with shiitake and cumin shumai.
White + Wong's excels at putting a modern spin on classic favourites, like their Korean Fried Chicken Bao levelled up with pickled cucumber, sesame seeds and sriracha slaw, and the Teriyaki Glazed Salmon with avocado puree and caviar.
For those who become overwhelmed by choice easily or simply love indulging in a banquet feast, you can’t go past the ‘Feed Me’ menu for $65 a head. Available for a minimum of two people, the menu includes a selection of house favourites including starters, curries, sides and desserts.
But perhaps our favourite thing about White + Wong's (delicious food aside), is how easily they can accommodate groups. In fact, larger groups of up to 16 can easily be booked online, with no need to call the restaurant. We love a seamless booking process!
When you visit, make sure to begin or finish the night at the Sardine Bar. Located on the upper level of the venue, this bar offers a relaxed ambience for casual get-togethers, after-work drinks and bespoke cocktails. The full menu is available here too, including the indulgent Woktails menu, featuring sips such as the Jade Slipper, made with Absolut Elyx vodka, Midori, coconut syrup, fresh lime & pineapple juice, and the Orchard Road made with Malfy Blood Orange gin, St Germain elderflower liqueur, yuzu sparkling sake & soda.
