The Verdict
White Rabbit in the CBD sources the best ingredients from Europe for an indulgent breakfast on the way to work, a lingering lunch to impress, or some of Sydney's best charcuterie with wine and cocktails after a long day.
During the day the cafe sells out of its pastries sourced all the way from France, with brunch and lunch dishes that jump to Italy, Spain and beyond. The special house-made touches like the gravlax in their ultimate eggs benedict will get you hopping for the rest of the day (especially when paired with one of their coffees from Five Senses).
The menus change seasonally, but whatever you do, order the house made gnocchi for lunch when you see it. It's easily one of the lightest, fluffiest pillow of potato-ey goodness you will find in Sydney, and it will chase away any nightmare-ish times at work. Even if you're after a light salad or pasta, White Rabbit will impress. Freshly shaved jamon, handmade pasta made the old fashioned way - these guys spare no expense on blowing you away.
Later in the week the cafe transforms after dark into a twinkling cocktail and wine bar, with some of the most epic charcuterie platters you'll find in Sydney, let alone the CBD. It's all sliced fresh to order, so this is no ordinary feast - eat with care. And some cheese.
