Aaaaa-asahi… aka a sigh of relief in knowing that we may have just uncovered the most authentic yakitori to have ever hit town. If you find yourself at Yakitori Jin in Haberfield, you’ll immediately feel yourself being transported away from those Monday night blues or Wednesday hump day feels to the oh-so addictive flavours of Osaka.

Following the style of a traditional Izakaya, Yakitori Jin is fresh AF. Serving food that has been roasted over traditional Japanese grilling tables (straight out of Osaka), we can guarantee you’re going to want one of everything. From the homemade gyoza to udon soup, it’s as authentic as Japanese gets. If Asahi isn’t your thing, we strongly suggest yo treat yourself to an aged Japanese whisky or traditional Sake  while peering over the bar hoping the sizzling tiger prawns and enoki mushroom are headed your way.

Whether you’re popping in for lunch to enjoy a bento box (yes, it comes with miso) or settling in for a night of cosy yet sophisticated eats, make sure you go with someone who won’t be offended if you happen to tune out of conversation--sitting at the bar is a performance in itself, with infusions of flavours being whipped up right in front of your eyes (and noses).
