Every Reason Why Amsterdam Is The New Movie You Need To Watch

27th Sep 2022
Written by: Renée Ardon-Coppinger

Film lovers rejoice! A hot new release from 20th Century Studios, Amsterdam, is hitting cinemas next month.

The star-studded, soon-to-be hit from acclaimed filmmaker David O. Russell explores the complex themes of friendship, art, beauty and love. Shot through the eyes of a true master of the craft—whose credits include American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook—the film's stunning cinematography and collision of genres will have you hooked from opening to closing credits.

This intricate tale is set in the 1930s and weaves together the lives of three close friends—a doctor, nurse and lawyer— who all become prime suspects in a murder investigation. The fast-paced and fascinating historical dramedy works to uncover one of the most outrageous political schemes of all time. As conspiracy sets in and the case develops, they must rely on one another more than ever before.

The cast features some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Academy Award winner Christian Bale, two-time Oscar nominee Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Mike Myers, Taylor Swift, Rami Malek, Chris Rock and the legendary Robert DeNiro.

Get ready to rally your crew and make a night of it when it opens in cinemas on Thursday, 6 October.
