Frogmore Creek Cellar Door And Restaurant

From private blue-badge parking, their accessible entrance leads into the open-plan and spacious wooden hall, with wide-placed tables and natural light flooding in through the windows (not to mention an epic vineyard view).
Take a guided tasting or settle in for one of Tassie’s primo cellar door restaurants. Every dish spotlights the finest local produce from land, sea and garden. Think, freshly shucked oysters, mushroom and truffle arancini and pepperberry-rubbed wallaby with cassis gel, saltbush, smoked macadamia and hazelnut crumb. Complex techniques highlight the simple excellence of everything that grows here.

- Snacking solo on a Coal River Valley crawl? Opt for their indulgent cheese board for one.
- Make the most of sunny days and sit in the shaded outdoors.
- Travelling with a group that has different dietary needs?
- Their menu includes a variety of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and nut-free options.
Cult Logic Coffee

Blending clean, contemporary design with a quietly obsessive approach to coffee, Cult Logic is a neighbourhood café sitting in the heart of Hobart. A climate-controlled, light-filled interior features a mix of booth and table seating at varying heights, a stacked pastry cabinet, and a strong focus on precision brewing with thoughtfully sourced beans—making it a destination for those who take their coffee seriously, without any of the fuss.
The menu, offered both on the wall and via QR, leans seasonal and produce-driven, with a tight selection of brunch dishes that balance simplicity with subtle creativity. Expect fresh, vibrant plates designed to complement, not compete with, what’s in the cup, alongside expertly poured espresso, rotating filter options, and everything from seasonal treats to wholesome soups and sandwiches.
Insider Intel:
- Arrive early on weekends for a quieter start to your day—this small, lively local haunt can fill quickly, with street sounds, a local playlist, and the aroma of the seasonal menu creating a lively atmosphere.
- A single point of entry opens into a light-filled glass shopfront, with prime seating for watching the rhythm of the city pass by.
Landscape Bar And Grill
23 Hunter St, Hobart, Tasmania 7000
Landscape Bar and Grill sits in a prime position right on the waterfront in the heritage IXL Jam Factory, a high-class experience of Tassie cuisine that's definitely date-night-worthy. Interiors of stone, dark timber, spotlights and art-lined walls create the luxe vibe of dining right in a stylish gallery. Inspired by the 19th-century landscape paintings of John Glover, Head Chef Michael Hewitt focuses on elevating the work of farmers directly to the plate. An alternative entrance with automatic doors leads you through art spaces to the main dining room, where creativity hits the table.
The freshest flavours of Tas meet Euro-bistro with Asian-inspired technique, as Southern-caught sashimi served with hakurei turnips and smoked soy, some pumpkin tempura with pepperberry, parmesan cheese and crisp rice-crusted southern calamari, miso, lemon aioli, smoked chilli.
The famous Asado grill is centre stage for premium Cape Grim beef. Even the humble baked potato has a glow up with cheddar and wagyu cream, crème fraiche and pearls of ocean trout caviar. A varied wine list runs from old-world drops to new and niche. Everyone can enjoy the excellence of Landscape, with on-street blue badge parking, wide paths between seated-height tables (although note the carpet) and a gender neutral accessible bathroom.
Insider Intel:
- The carpetted main room is dimly lit with soft moody music, perfect for a date night.
- The asado is seasoned with sherry, bourbon or port casks, lending a unique smoky seasoning.
Six Russell Bakes And Bistro
6 Russell Cres, Sandy Bay, Tasmania 7005
Sandy Bay’s bougie bakery is also a daytime bistro. Step-free access leads straight to the sleek, post-industrial bakery space, where the sausage and egg muffin and cruller are both must-buy items for your morning, along with a specialty coffee. For a leisurely brunch or lunch, head into the bistro and enjoy brekkie classics like ricotta hotcakes with butterscotch and mascarpone or corn fritters. Wide paths and doorways with parking close by make this an inviting start to your Hobart day.
If you’re in the mood for more of a lunch vibe, snack on basil chicken potato croquettes, indulge in a calamari nori carbonara or soothe your soul with a hearty, fragrant chicken laksa. It’s an all-day drinks menu, with everything from wines to their signature Mont Blanc or a matcha coconut cloud.
Insider Intel:
- You’ll want to order two of their famous sausage and egg muffins or sugar-crusted crullers for your bakery visit.
- Pick up some luxe little deli goods, like imported olives, tinned fish and gourmet snacks.
Society Salamanca
22 Montpelier Retreat, Battery Point, Tasmania 7004
Time to find your place in Society. Tucked away behind Salamanca is a discreet cocktail lounge, home to some of Hobart’s finest drinks and late-night eats. Step-free access leads straight to the long bar, with low tables and booths in the centre. Society is as famous for beverage specials as they are for the backbar lined with so many shelves of fine liquor they need a library ladder. Street parking opposite is for permit holders, Monday to Friday, with more badge parking at Salamanca Square (but double-check the hours).
Knock back a Society Sour or Negroni with your pizza, fresh and hot from the oven, or graze on olives and crisps with a genteel Montpelier Martini. Signatures like the Smoky Fig with mezcal, amaro and fig are a perfect evening finisher, or keep the party going with a classic pina colada. The drinks are outstanding, but this spot is fun, not fussy.
Insider Intel:
- Love a deal? Discounts on drinks are available from 4-6pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
- Keep an eye out for trivia nights, mixers, and drag bingo.
