  • Million Dollar Nannies

Want the scoop on the latest bingeable dramas? Or maybe you just need a comfy comedy you’ve seen a million times to chuck on in the background while you do some evening stretching? Either way, our list of the best shows on Disney Plus is where it’s at.

From timeless classics like Modern Family and The Office to recent favourites like Rivals and The Bear, here’s all the best shows on Disney Plus right now.

Whether you want mindless reality TV, beautifully shot nature docos, or nail-biting thrillers, we’ve got something for every kind of mood. So let’s dive in, shall we…?

Million Dollar Nannies

If you don’t give a hoot about accuracy and just want all the can’t-look-away, car-wreck drama of reality TV, then Million Dollar Nannies is probably your next great binge watch. The show follows a bunch of young, hot caregivers, led by Leah Barrs (who famously worked for the Kardashians), as they launch a high-end nanny agency for the world’s top 1% in Ibiza. It’s every bit as vapid and ridiculous as it sounds. Enjoy.

Best of the World With Antoni Porowski

Still struggling with Queer Eye withdrawals? Then this four-part National Geographic following everyone’s favourite foodie, Antoni Porowski, around Paris, Mexico City, London, and New York City is the answer to your prayers. If you’re looking for a deep and hard-hitting travel documentary, this is probably not for you. But if you fancy that trademark Porowski warmth and goofiness mixed in with some glossy travel inspo, this will do you nicely.

Alice and Steve

This British dark comedy series starring Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and Nicola Walker (The Split) follows the friendship fallout of two highly dysfunctional besties after one starts dating the other’s 26-year-old daughter. We won’t go into more detail because we take spoilers very seriously. But suffice it to say that things get increasingly messy and somewhat savage as the plot thickens. Alice and Steve dropped on June 8, with all 6 episodes available to smash in full right now.

The Testaments

Loved The Handmaid’s Tale? Then you’d better get a wriggle on and stream this coming-of-age sequel. The story follows a group of young women navigating life within an elite preparatory school for future wives in Gilead’s dystopian society. Think teenage rebellion meets the stomach-churning psychological oppression of The Handmaid’s Tale. Think Hunger Games meets Mean Girls, and you’re on the right track. All 10 episodes of The Testaments are available to stream right now, and a second season is already in the works.

Rivals

Fancy some chaotic and deliberately absurd escapism with plenty of over-the-top 1980s fashion and melodrama? Starring David Tennant, this adaptation of Dame Jilly Cooper’s bestselling novel is a racy comedy-drama about the bitter and long-running feud between two powerful men. Think big shoulder pads, bigger hair, sharp dialogue, and some boundary-pushing sex scenes. Enjoy.

Malcolm In The Middle: Life’s Still Unfair

If you grew up in the nineties and noughties, you’re probably very familiar with the original version of this show (and were subsequently traumatised when you eventually saw Breaking Bad). And, just like most shows from that era, Malcolm In The Middle is getting a decades-later reboot miniseries. Unlike most reboots, this one does a decent job of combining the chaos of the original with a bit of character growth. It’s a hard balance to strike, but it generally hits the mark. So it might not be exactly what you remember… but that’s probably a good thing given that you’re now a fully fledged adult with a slightly more sophisticated taste in TV.

Gary

If you’re a fan of The Bear, you absolutely need to see this surprise prequel episode that follows cousin Richie and Mikey on a chaotic road trip from Chicago to Gary, Indiana. Expect all the grittiness of The Bear, along with the familiar blend of anxiety and melancholy you know and love. Critics and fans have gone nuts for this one already, and you can expect a few twists and turns in the story, too.

Dear Killer Nannies

Whether you loved Narcos or are just obsessed with all things Escobar, you need to check out this Spanish-language drama based on the memoirs of Pablo Escobar’s son. The eight-part series focuses on the perspective of his son, who is predominantly raised by Escobar’s most trusted hitmen (or ‘nannies’), and gives us an alternative yet incredibly intense look at the domestic life of the world’s most notorious cartel leader. You can smash all episodes of Dear Killer Nannies (and smash you probably will) from April 1, 2026.

Donna Hay: Coastal Celebrations

Fancy something a bit more chill you can chuck in the background or use as inspo for your next dinner party? Check out this new four-part lifestyle series with food icon Donna Hay. Combining gourmet cooking tips with Sydney’s beautiful sun-drenched coastline, it’s everything you need to decompress on a Sunday evening after a hectic weekend.

The Eighth Family

This offbeat Turkish comedy‑drama follows a family whose bulletproof thermal underwear brand propels them into global influence and power. But with six very different siblings at the helm, things quickly get pretty chaotic — on the business and personal front. It’s absurd, satirical, and leans heavily into its exaggerated humour. Imagine Succession but Turkish and with none of the heaviness.

Cougar Town

This is certainly not new, but if you’re after a comfy show you can put on in the background and dip in and out of while you cook or scroll, it’s a decent option. As the name suggests, the show started off being about a recently divorced woman (played by Courteney Cox) trying to get back out there by dating younger men. But for whatever reason, it quickly evolved into a sitcom about friendship and drinking wine with your neighbours. Basically, it’s a slightly more grown-up yet sillier version of Friends with wine instead of coffee and a cul-de-sac in Florida instead of unrealistically spacious New York apartments. It’s warm, silly, and won’t take up too many brain cells. Enjoy.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

If you can’t get enough reality TV, this one’s for you. It follows a bunch of Mormon mothers and TikTok influencers in Utah, also known as ‘MomTok’. The first series started in the wake of a scandal involving apparent ‘soft-swinging’ between Mormon couples. And now, in its fourth season, the soap-style drama continues in the messy, ridiculous, and just-can’t-look-away format we’ve grown to know and love.

Scrubs (Reboot)

This noughties medical comedy drama was huge and pretty darn enjoyable way back when. And, like most things these days, it’s making a comeback in the form of a reboot. We’ll be honest, it’s not going to light your world on fire. It’s kind of like a more subdued and slower-paced version of the original, and all your favourite characters just look a bit thinner and more tired. But, if you love a good nostalgia-binge, it’ll keep you company on rainy weeknights.

Paradise (Season 2)

If you haven’t already seen Season 1, this drama starring Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us) and James Marsden (we don’t really need to explain who that is, do we…?) is a post-apocalyptic political thriller with some strong conspiracy vibes. We’ll say no more because that would pretty much ruin things for you. But if you have seen the first season, you’ll be glad to know that Paradise Season 2 premiered in February 2026, with the eighth and final episode dropping on March 30.

Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette

This limited series is part of FX’s Love Story anthology. Chronicling the whirlwind romance of — you guessed it — John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, it’s a romantic drama with all sorts of ups and downs and plenty to say about 1990s celebrity culture. So, if you like biographical dramas about high-profile celebrities and the pressures of fame, this one’s for you. The first three episodes dropped on 13 February 2026, and you can catch brand-new episodes every week until the season finale in late March.

Wonder Man

Forget everything you know about the Marvel Cinematic Universe and get ready for a tongue-in-cheek satire about fame and the Hollywood industry. Following an aspiring actor who gains superpowers and his unlikely friendship with a veteran actor (played by Ben Kingsley), it has been widely praised for its character depth, humour, and strong performances. All eight episodes are available to stream now. If you just want wall-to-wall superhero action, this is not for you. But if you like personal drama and satire with a small side of superhero vibes, then it’s worth checking Wonder Man out.

The Beauty

Based on the Image Comics graphic novel, this latest series in the Ryan Murphy universe blends sci-fi vibes with body horror. It’s set in a not-so-distant future where a sexually transmitted treatment gives people extraordinary beauty and physical perfection, but at a deadly cost. And, when supermodels start dying under mysterious circumstances, two FBI agents must travel the globe to find out why. Far-fetched, gruesome, and with plenty of intriguing conspiracies, it’s exactly what you’d expect from a Ryan Murphy series. The first three episodes dropped on January 22, with new episodes following weekly.

The Artful Dodger (Season 2)

The Artful Dodger is back, and this time, Jack’s luck is seriously running out. He’s staring down the noose, dodging Port Victory’s ruthless new lawman, Inspector Boxer, and risking it all for Lady Belle. Saddle up for a season packed with love triangles, a killer on the loose, and Fagin pulling Jack into his most dangerous heist yet. New faces, romance, betrayal, and even more high-stakes chaos await when the drama returns on 10 February, only on Disney+.

Bob’s Burgers (Season 16)

This long-running animated comedy series follows a third-generation burger chef who balances running a modest restaurant with family life. It blends warm family dynamics with quirky and absurd side plots. So, if you want something easy to watch in the evenings, this will certainly do the trick. You can watch Seasons 1 - 15 in full right now, and catch brand new episodes of Season 16 as they drop weekly from 17 December 2025.

Tell Me Lies (Season 3)

Tell Me Lies follows the turbulent and obsessive relationship between two college students over the course of eight years. Think control, betrayal, and emotional manipulation rolled into an intense connection. Fans love it for being addictive and emotionally compelling, but beware — it portrays a pretty toxic relationship. Seasons 1 and 2 premiered in 2022 and 2024, respectively. And if you’re already caught up on all the drama, you can enjoy Season 3 of Tell Me Lies from 13 January 2026.

Pole To Pole With Will Smith

In the mood for a documentary that blends wildlife, incredible landscapes, huge physical challenges, and insights into the mind of a Hollywood icon? Look no further than Pole to Pole With Will Smith. From skiing to the South Pole to milking a venomous tarantula, Will Smith takes on a range of challenges as he crosses all seven continents. And, with guidance from scientists, explorers, and local experts, he experiences world-first scientific discoveries and connects with a range of communities all over the world. Pole To Pole With Will Smith premieres on 14 January 2026. So, if you like your docos with cinematic flair and a bit of star power, you’re all set.

Abbott Elementary

Can’t get enough of mockumentary-style comedies? We don’t blame you. If you haven’t already gotten around to this one, the award-winning Abbott Elementary should probably be on your list. Basically, imagine The Office was set in an underfunded elementary school, and you’ve got the gist of it. Funny, warm, and easy to watch — enjoy.

I Am Boxer

If you liked Physical 100, you should probably check out I Am Boxer. This Korean competition show throws 90 of the fiercest fighters from all kinds of ages, backgrounds, weights, and professions into one savage survival competition. As you can probably guess, the rules are a bit bonkers, and the showdowns are insane. Not for the faint-hearted, but if you enjoy this kind of thing, this one should pack a punch (sorry, couldn’t resist).

Taylor Swift: The End of an Era

If you’re a Swiftie or live in the vicinity of one, chances are you’ve already watched — or been forced to watch — this 6-part docuseries chronicling her spectacular Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour. Blending concert footage and immersive cinematography with behind-the-scenes insights and appearances from family members, friends, and famous faces like Sabrina Carpenter and Ed Sheeran, it’s everything any Taylor Swift fan could dream of and more. Oh, and Travis Kelce is due to make an appearance too (in case you were concerned).

The Kardashians

You either love this show or avoid it like the plague. And if you fall into the former category, you’ll be pleased to know that Season 7 (at least of this incarnation of the family’s reality show empire) is already well underway. From health scares and facelifts to appearances by Rob Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner (oh my), you can expect access to all sorts of drama this season. Season 7 of The Kardashians premiered on 23 October 2025, with brand-new episodes dropping weekly.

Murdaugh: Death in the Family

Can’t get enough of true crime? You should definitely check out this brand-new drama based on the Murdaugh Murders true crime podcast. Starring Patricia Arquette (Severance) and Jason Clarke (A House of Dynamite), Murdaugh: Death in the Family focuses on a powerful and wealthy family after their son is involved in a deadly boat crash. From financial fraud and embezzlement allegations to addiction and betrayal, it’s an intense fall from grace culminating in a shocking double murder. The first three episodes of this eight-part drama premiered on October 15, 2025, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday until November 19.

All’s Fair

Kim K and Ryan Murphy fans have been excited about this one for a while. A follow-up to Kim Kardashian’s first major acting role in American Horror Story, All’s Fair is a glamorous, high-stakes legal thriller about a group of high-powered female divorce lawyers who leave a male-dominated firm to launch their own practice. Starring Kim K (duh) along with Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close, it explores the trials (pun intended) and tribulations as scandalous secrets, vicious dicorves and internal power struggles challenge these women on every level. All’s Fair premiered on Disney Plus Australia on November 4, 2025, with new episodes released weekly.

Chad Powers

Ever wondered what Mrs Doubtfire would have been like if Robin Williams was trying to resurrect a sporting career after public humiliation instead of spending quality time with family? Well, wonder no more because that’s exactly what you can expect with the brand new comedy drama, Chad Powers. After a high-profile meltdown, disgraced college football star Russ Holliday (played by Glen Powell) comes up with an entirely new persona and attempts to revive his career in a ridiculous disguise. Satirical, ridiculous, and with a heartwarming redemption arc, it’s a fun and fuzzy comedy you can relax to. The first two episodes of Chad Powers premiered on September 30, with new episodes dropping every Tuesday.

9-1-1 Nashville

Looking for a new first responder procedural drama to get your teeth stuck into? This latest spin-off of Ryan Murphy’s 9-1-1 franchise follows firefighters, paramedics, and police officers as they deal with life-threatening situations in Nashville. Blending character-driven drama with high-stakes emergencies and a southern twist, it’s essentially Station 19 meets Nashville meets Friday Night Lights. The first episode of 9-1-1 Nashville dropped in Australia on October 10, with new episodes released weekly.

Only Murders in the Building

If you haven’t already smashed seasons 1-5 of Only Murders in the Building, we are both astonished and jealous. For those of you yet to experience the joy, the story follows three very different New York neighbours (played by Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Selena Gomez) who bond over playing amateur-sleuths-cum-podcast-producers for murders that keep happening in their building. Each season, the cast just keeps getting better. From Paul Rudd and Meryl Streep to Renée Zellweger, Keegan-Michael Key, Bobby Cannavale, and Christoph Waltz, the treats just keep on coming. Seriously, we cannot wait until the next season drops!

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox

Most people reading this would have already guessed from the title that this is a true crime biographical drama. But, for the extremely young among us… Amanda Knox shot to global fame in 2007 when she was accused of murdering her British roommate while studying as an American exchange student in Italy. On the off-chance that you really don’t know what happened in this fascinating yet brutal case, we’ll just say that it went on for several years with plenty of twists and turns along the way. You can catch the first few episodes of The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox now, with new episodes released weekly.

Her Last Broadcast: The Abduction of Jodi Huisentruit

True crime and mystery lovers, unite! This doco takes a deep dive into the 1995 disappearance of local TV news anchor Jodi Huisentruit. With signs of violence and foul play at the time and new clues and evidence uncovered decades later, this three-part series gets viewers closer than ever to uncovering what really happened to Jodi thirty years ago. So grab your sleuth kit, fire up your Reddit account, and get cracking!

Washington Black

Based on Esi Edugyan’s 2018 novel of the same name, Washington Black is a coming-of-age adventure drama about an 11‑year‑old slave in 1830s Barbados who befriends an inventor and escapes to build a new life in Canada. Blending the dark aspects of slavery and oppression with a fun steampunk aesthetic and fantastical adventure storytelling, it’s got critics split right down the middle! If you want to make up your own mind about this historical drama starring Tom Ellis (Lucifer), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), and Ernest Kingsley Junior (The Sandman), you can stream all 8 episodes now.

Welcome to Wrexham

We know it’s hard to keep up with Ryan Reynolds’ many, many business ventures… but his real-life Ted Lasso takeover of a down-on-its-luck North Walian football club with fellow actor, Rob McElhenney, should definitely be on your radar. So, if you haven’t already seen this multi-Emmy Award-winning documentary, we highly recommend Welcome to Wrexham. Even if you don’t like football/soccer, thy cup will be filled by the heartwarming stories surrounding the town, its people, and the historic club at the heart of it.

Tracker

Looking for a weekly American mystery with a frequent side order of tough and topless hunk? Look no further than Tracker. Following Cole Hunter, a survivalist who makes his living by finding missing persons for the reward money, this show probably wouldn’t be quite as popular if it didn’t have Justin Hartley (This Is Us) starring in it. But it does, and so it is, and nobody seems to be complaining. There’s a new storyline every week, so you can dip in and out of the action and not be too lost. But, there is also an ongoing storyline about his past for that extra bit of long-term intrigue if that’s what you like.

High Potential

After a single mother of three with an inexplicably brilliant mind accidentally solves a murder instead of doing her actual job of cleaning a police precinct, she becomes a special consultant for the police homicide department. Sound familiar? It’s probably because it’s the same structure as countless other procedural dramas like The Mentalist, The Blacklist, Castle, Psych…. need we go on? But, while we’re definitely not saying that High Potential is anything new or particularly groundbreaking, it is watchable and has enough of an ongoing mystery that you’re mildly intrigued to see what might happen. It’s also got a decent cast with Judy Reyes (Carla from Scrubs), Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), and Daniel Sunjata (Graceland and Grey’s Anatomy). It won’t change your life, but it will kill a few hours while you get some online shopping done.

Modern Family

If you need an oldie but goodie to watch over and over again, you’ll be pleased to know that every single episode of Modern Family across all eleven seasons is available on Disney+ Australia. And, if you’ve never seen this brilliantly wholesome family comedy, we’re actually pretty jealous (slash where have you been?). In a nutshell, it’s a mockumentary-style sitcom about a blended and extended family across three generations and multiple households. It’s warm, relatable, and oh-so-easy to watch and is our travel editor's go-to plane watch every single flight.

English Teacher

Described by The New Yorker as "an after-school special with edge," English Teacher immediately piqued our interest. If that wasn’t enough, the viral TikTok videos by lead star Brian Jordan Alvarez had us fully convinced to dive in. In this feel-good series, non-binary English teacher Evan Marquez navigates life’s ups and downs, balancing their personal and professional selves in the bustling outskirts of Austin, Texas. With sharp wit and heartfelt moments, English Teacher tackles the question: Can we truly bring our whole selves to work? Whether you're here for the laughs or the relatable life lessons, this show delivers on all fronts.

In Vogue: The 90s

Fashion lovers, rejoice! In Vogue: The 90s is a captivating docuseries that takes you inside the vibrant world of fashion during one of its most iconic decades. Through exclusive interviews with industry legends, designers, and supermodels, the series explores how the '90s shaped the fashion industry as we know it today. From the rise of grunge to the reign of the supermodel, this series is a nostalgic yet insightful look at the trends, designers, and cultural shifts that defined a generation. Perfect for anyone who loves fashion, history, or just a good story.

Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story

Get ready to witness one of the most incredible sagas and Cinderella stories in Formula 1 (and sporting) history, the story of Brawn GP. In 2008, Honda’s racing team fell into administration. In an unprecedented first for the sport, their rivals united and returned the team to the racetrack. With Ross Brawn at the helm and the team rebranded as Brawn GP, all was well until they realised they had inadvertently created a fierce competitor. Interviewed by Hollywood actor and Formula 1 superfan Keanu Reeves, this four-part series gives you all the juicy insights from racing legends, providing the drama both on and off the track.

The Clearing

Based on the crime thriller by J.P. Pomare, this exclusive original series follows the nightmares of a cult and a woman who is forced to face the demons from her past to stop the kidnapping and coercion of innocent children in the future. Grim but good.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian

Indeed—the journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history.

The Bear

Foodie movies and TV shows are always hit and miss, but if there’s one upcoming series that’s said to be a recipe for success, it’s The Bear. The original comedy is said to be “addictively stressful” (think Uncut Gems-style) and is both a sensual nightmare and a daydream of the culinary industry. The show follows Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), a young chef from the fine dining world, who comes home to Chicago to run his family's sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death. While grappling with his brother’s suicide, Carmy also has to deal with the realities of running a small business and reluctant kitchen staff—no easy feat.

Andor

This one's for the Star Wars enthusiasts out there. Focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make, Andor is all about the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and all the adventure, and we're here for it. Watch it here.

Ms. Marvel

Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel is an original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Watch it here.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat. (You should probably already know this, but we’re referring to the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.) The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

Life & Beth

If you haven’t already melted into the hilarious show Life & Beth, get on it, stat. Written and produced by Amy Schumer, the story follows Beth (played by Schumer), a woman whose life would look pretty great on paper but is all over the shop in reality. Impressive to everyone she grew up with, she makes a good living as a wine distributor and she’s in a long-term relationship with a successful guy and lives in Manhattan. But, when something happens to force her into facing her past, her life changes forever. Watch it here.

Pam & Tommy

Set in the Wild West early days of the Internet, Pam & Tommy is based on the true story of the Pamela Anderson (Lily James) and Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan) sex tape. Stolen from the couple’s home by a disgruntled contractor (Seth Rogen), the video went from underground bootleg-VHS curiosity to full-blown cultural obsession when it hit the web in 1997. However, the eight-part series isn’t all about the tape itself. Instead, it explores the intersection of privacy, technology, and celebrity, tracing the origins of our current Reality TV Era to a stolen tape seen by millions, but was only ever meant for an audience of two.

The Dropout

The Dropout is the story of Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried) — the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, who lost everything in the blink of an eye. Once heralded as the “next Steve Jobs”, Holmes faced criminal charges when the tech she was creating to revolutionise healthcare turned out to be putting people’s lives at risk, and may have never worked at all.

Under The Banner Of Heaven

Inspired by the true-crime bestseller by Jon Krakauer, Under The Banner Of Heaven needs to be on your radar. Why? Because it's from Academy Award®-winner Dustin Lance Black and not only stars Andrew Garfield and Daisy Edgar-Jones but Sam Worthington too. Just let that sink in for a hot minute. The show follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. As Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) investigates events that transpired within the Lafferty family, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion. Watch it here.
