We admit, that in 2020, we have devoured more shows than ever before. Streaming services like Netflix became our best mate, serving us up some seriously binge-worthy viewing to keep us afloat in lockdown.

One such a gem is Emily In Paris. Whether you loved it or loved to hate it, it was bloody addictive and gave us a nice slice of armchair travelling with stunning Paris as a backdrop, epic fashion and yes, those cliche characters that we became obsessed with.

If you’re unfamiliar with the show, it follows Emily (played by Lily Collins), an ambitious twenty-something marketing executive from Chicago, who unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris when her work acquires a French luxury marketing company and she is tasked with revamping their social media strategy. Emily's new life in Paris is filled with intoxicating adventures and surprising challenges as she juggles winning over her work colleagues, making friends, and navigating new romances.

Season one left us on a serious cliffhanger with (spoiler alert) Emily finding herself right in the middle of a genetically-blessed love triangle with heartthrob Gabriel and bestie Camillie.

Well, we have excellent news for those out there hanging for the next installment, Netflix has confirmed season two is in the works tweeting that “Deux is always better than un”.

While details of the latest season are thin on the ground, the show’s creator Darren Star (yes, the man behind Sex and The City and Gossip Girl) revealed that Emily will really find her Parisan feet in the new season.

In terms of her love life, Star told Collider he wanted Emily to “have a lot of complicated choices with a lot of the men in her life".

Yes it sounds very juicy and we are here for it.

While filming would usually take place in Paris, COVID has put the brakes on for now, but it’s rumoured that season two could drop around October next year.

We’ll keep you posted with all the details.
