When Is Empire Of The Sun's Australian Tour?

Empire of the Sun just announced their brand-new and biggest-ever tour Down Under on 14 September 2026. Since their last album, Ask That God, was released, the band has sold more than 400,000 tickets globally. 

They’re currently touring in America and will finish off that leg with back-to-back performances at the iconic Hollywood Bowl, LA and Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, on 8 and 9 October, respectively.

The 2027 Ask That God: Afterlife Tour will kick off in February and cover both Australia and New Zealand, heading to Auckland first for one night only on February 19 before heading home for epic performances across Australia.

The Aussie leg of the Empire of the Sun 2027 tour will start on February 21 in Brisbane, with five shows across the country.

• February 21, 2027 - Riverstage, Brisbane

• February 25, 2027 - Afterpay Arena, Sydney (AKA the old Qudos Bank Arena)

• February 27, 2027 - Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne

• March 2, 2027 - Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide

• March 6, 2027 - RAC Arena, Perth

What To Expect From The 2027 Empire Of The Sun's Australian Tour?

The Ask That God: Afterlife Tour will be big and bold. Think trippy dance-pop madness with all the trimmings. Luke Steele has gone on record saying, “Ask That God: Afterlife feels like a tour of unknowns and possibilities, new visions, new plateaus, fragile breakthroughs.”

He also said, “Things are going to happen on this tour that have never happened before. We can’t wait to take this music and this tour to new frontiers.” Featuring singles like ‘Changes’, ‘Music on the Radio’, and ‘Cherry Blossom’, plus their 2023 collab with PNAU, ‘AEIOU’, the band promises a reimagined production built with scale, colour, and theatricality. So, all in all, strap in and expect the unexpected.

When Is Pre-Sale For Empire Of The Sun's Australian Tour? 

Tickets for the Empire of the Sun 2027 tour are expected to go fast, so we suggest registering for presale right this minute. Pre-sale for Empire of the Sun tour tickets opens on Wednesday 16 September at 1 pm local time.
