The original 2015 Broadway production garnered a record 16 Tony nominations and racked up 11 wins—only second The Producer’s 12 gongs—and the Australian production has lived up to the hype.
In case you’re not familiar with Hamilton, it’s a musical about the life of America’s founding father Alexander Hamilton, and the incredible lyrics written by Lin-Manuel Miranda are rapped and sung in an R&B, hip hop and soul style. It’s certainly not your standard musical, and that’s why everyone loves it.
