Get Your Best Night’s Sleep Ever On Koala’s New Customisable Mattresses

The Koala mattress on display in a bedroom

Koala pretty much kicked off the ultra-convenient mattress-in-a-box revolution in Australia. Their supremely comfortable, affordable, and easy-to-love mattresses have become a household name and a template for what a mattress (and a good night's sleep) should be.

So, needless to say, when they revealed not just one, but a trio of new mattresses this month, we were a bit excited.

With comfort, cooling, and support front-of-mind, each of the three mattresses comes with "zonal support", "zero disturbance", and our personal fave—a customisable and flippable medium-firm comfort layer they've dubbed "Kloudcell".

As for what these three new beauties are—first up is a reinvention of the OG Koala mattress. Originally released in 2015 with stacks of hype thanks to that trick where you could jump on the mattress without spilling your wine, the all-new Koala mattress takes things to a whole new level. Sitting squarely in the Goldilocks zone of not-too-soft and not-too-firm, this all-rounder features three targeted high-density precision-cut support zones, which means, whichever way you sleep, you'll be in total comfort.

Next is the Koala "Calm As" mattress, which aims to strike a balance between soft and bouncy. And, it achieves this with a clever open cell structure, multi-layer zoning, and extra edge support. Finally, this dream machine comes topped with Koala's "COOLMAX" cooling technology to help you feel cool and dry all night long.

The final new mattress in the mix at Koala is the extra-fancy "Soul Mate". It has been designed to react to your body in real-time—with springs that move with you, not against you while you sleep. There's even a ventilated bamboo charcoal memory foam transition layer to maintain the perfect snoozing temperature.

If you needed any final convincing, Koala's new mattresses are all fully GECA certified, meaning each matty meets all the health, sustainability, and social impact criteria set by the country’s only independent, not-for-profit, multi-sector environmental certification program. Winning!
