Turning 25 is a huge milestone—so huge Adele even named one of her albums 25 to honour the age. So, it’s no surprise that for MIMCO’s 25th birthday they wanted to do something extra special. Since its establishment in 1996, the iconic brand has been changing the face of style for a quarter of a century now. To honour the occasion, MIMCO have launched a capsule collection and coffee table book that celebrates the iconic brand’s decorated past, present and future.
“When MIMCO was founded in 1996, our aim was to create stylish accessories that managed to balance timelessness with a unique twist. It’s been a winning formula, with MIMCO garnering a loyal following from fashion fans the world over,” says MIMCO Managing Director, Sarah Rovis.
This winning formula was employed to create their beautifully crafted birthday capsule collection. MIMCO have reimagined their classic silhouettes to form a stunning collection of bags, wallets, jewellery, shoes and other accessories that are all the perfect cherry on top of any outfit.
The 25th birthday range features the return of crowd favourite bags from past years (remember the Button Bag from 2005?), MIMCO’s trademark edgy yet classy jewellery created with freshwater pearls and glass crystals, and 90s inspired accessories in an homage to the era the brand was established in. Let’s face it, we’re all a little obsessed with the 90s and 00s right now, so you know you want to add a little nostalgia to your wardrobe—only with MIMCO’s timeless style. Personally, we’ve got our eye on this cross body bag reminiscent of our teenage years, a set of their crystal-adorned silver hair pins and their iconic 2013 tote, brought back just for the occasion—is it too early to buy ourselves a Christmas present?
The 25th birthday capsule collection is available in stores and online now, so have a look and try to exercise some self-control—you’ll be tempted to walk away with a few pieces.
We're also loving the cottagecore collection from this Aussie label.
