Good underwear is too often overlooked. A pivotal piece of clothing that is so integral, yet so easily cast aside for whatever’s left in the drawer, but reliable underwear can make all the difference to many people days.

You may already be familiar with Modibodi, they first launched back in 2013 with a range of leak-proof underwear aimed at providing comfort and security for anyone that has periods. Fast forward to 2021 and they’re a household name, one of the most inclusive and sustainably led companies in the industry and now offering apparel to help people manage everything from periods to sweat, breast milk, and incontinence.

Their newest release which they launched earlier in August is aimed at assisting restricted mobility individuals. The Adaptive Boyleg brief—made from light bamboo fabric is a reusable pair of underwear that offer period and leak protection. Modibodi engaged with their customers and community to determine the factors that would make sure that the new briefs are stylish, comfortable, and effective.

The simplistic and cleverly shaped boyleg-style underwear have ModiBodi’s now-signature leak-proof lining as well as elastic hoops and added hooks for quick fastening, reducing the challenge of changing for anyone with limited mobility.

Australian model, Emily J Prior is a Modibodi Ambassador and disability advocate. She was one of the first to test run the new adaptive briefs, giving it her seal of approval, “the velcro closures and loop pulls on either side, make it easy for someone to put on or take off their underwear whether they are standing, sitting, (in a wheelchair) or laying down.

The new range is available now, head to ModiBodi to check them out.
