If you've never heard of Pangaia, you're in for a treat.
Pangaia has been dubbed as a 'materials science company on a mission to save the environment' and if that should tell you anything, it's that behind Pangaia lies a global collective of scientists, technologists, designers creating essential products from innovative tech and bio-engineered materials.
The goal is that products from Pangaia have been designed for all kinds of living situations and for everyone in mind. The name itself has a pretty cool origin story is the combination of two words— pan meaning all inclusive of racial groups, religions and genders and gaia meaning 'Mother Earth'.
The crew from Pangaia have just dropped a new collection called the Tropics Capsule, with pieces all inspired by the colours, wildlife and citality of the Amazon Rainforest. The fits have been created to be lightweight, made from beathable organic cotton fabric that's ideal to wear 365 days a year.
To make this full circle, Pangaia supports and donates to the work of Togetherband, a global movement putting the power in the hands of Indigenous populations. By offering long term training and support to the communities who live there, they enable them to work in harmony with nature, protecting the Amazon from further destruction.
In terms of what you can cop from Pangaia's new collection, you'll find a handful of basics in a number of bright colourways like peach, purple, bright blue and red.
