Calling on all Aussie queens, RuPaul’s Drag Race is finally headed down under! That’s right, the uber popular reality show, which already has a UK spin-off, is finally getting an Australian version.
The new eight-part Stan Original Series will be hosted by the one and only RuPaul alongside fellow judge (and queen) Michelle Visage and Aussie comedian Rhys Nicholson.
The first ever local adaption of the global hit series will see 10 fierce Aussie and Kiwi queens compete to be the first ever Down Under Drag Race Superstar. Can we get an amen up in here?
Following the popular format, RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under will see queens serving high fashion realness, mini and max challenges, shady and heartfelt moments in the workroom, and of course, the all-important lip-sync for your life battles.
“I cannot wait for everyone to see that Down Under queens have some of the biggest charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talents in the world,” RuPaul said of the announcement.
